Welcome to Eljamon. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Eljamon (the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and administrators.
2. Description of Service
Eljamon is a community-powered addressbook and contact directory that allows users to search for contacts, submit contact information, rate and review contacts, and share contact details. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must register using a valid phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and current information and to promptly update it if it changes. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to: submit false, misleading, or fraudulent contact information; use the Service to harass, stalk, or harm another person; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems; use automated means to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service; impersonate any person or entity; or violate any applicable laws or regulations.
5. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (ratings, comments, contact submissions). By submitting content, you grant Eljamon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you submit. Eljamon reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms.
6. Contact Information and Accuracy
Eljamon does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any contact information displayed on the Service. Contact information is contributed by the community and is subject to change. You should independently verify any information before relying on it.
7. Reporting and Moderation
Users may report contacts they believe contain inaccurate, outdated, or abusive information. Eljamon reserves the right to review, moderate, and remove content or accounts at its sole discretion. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is the property of Eljamon and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eljamon and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damage resulting from reliance on information obtained through the Service.
10. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time using the "Forget Me" feature. Eljamon reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that are inactive for an extended period. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.
11. Modifications to Terms
Eljamon reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
